Week 53: COOL

Lukewarm.  Calm & collected.  Soothing colors.  First-rate.  Nonchalant.  This week's word is sure to be interpreted in a variety of ways!  With summer in full swing, this word represents "relief" for those of us in warmer climates!  We're curious to see how you think of this word!

First, let's see how the design team and this week's guest designer defined the cue word!

Guest Designer:  Tracy
design defined:
Group images on one part of your card and keep the rest simple with lots of white space.

Judy
design defined:
A dry embossed frame can add that extra touch to a CAS card.

Kimberly

design defined:
Use punches and pop up foam to create depth on a CAS card!

Maureen
design defined:
Use colors to evoke a feeling that you are looking to portray.

Meghan
design defined:
Don't be afraid to do "stamp surgery" so that you can get more from your sentiment stamps!

Melissa
 design defined:
Repeat shapes from your main image in your frame and card shape for uniformity.
design defined:
Adding a bit of embossing will add interest to a CAS design without adding layers.

Tracey
design defined:
Sometimes your image says it all!

Ardyth
design defined:
Sometimes the way to CAS design is clear!

Gillian
design defined:
Baker's twine is excellent at adding some extra colour to a CAS card.

Jen
design defined:
A touch of a small pattern adds interest without clutter.

Now go have fun and don't forget to link up your COOL creation by Sunday at 4:00 p.m. (CDT)!
